From my veiw of teachers growing up, it seemed that they were doing pretty good. I had the occasional bad one, but for the most part I was blessed to have really great ones. I never really thaught about the growing need till I read this article. Looking back now on world history and the bits and peices I have caught hearing my mom talk to other eduacators, we are truly in need of a wide variety of good, dedicated teachers who truly want to help their students succeed. I need to prepare my mind all I can to be able to focus all my efforts on helping children succeed in a way that truly works best for them. One chalange I forsee is makeing sure that when it comes to learning, each student has their needs covered. While each student will come from a variety of backgrounds, home life, cultures, languages, and learning styles, just to name a few, and I want to make sure that I can fully meet each childs needs to the best that I am able. Any suggestions for accomplishing this scenario would be immensly appreciated! :) I know that in the past when teachers have taken the time to truly help me learn at the level, and in the way that I best learn, it has made a world of a difference to how I approach certain topics I struggled with. It also helped me to, in some cases, come to love those topics more becaues they were able to teach it in a way that made coming to understand it fun and inviting. I hope to be able to replicate this with my own students, at both an indivudual and classroom basis.
Really to read this article help us to understand the roll we have as a teacher our attitude can change positive or negative the desire to learn of students. we always must think in that.
